The Enemy is Strong

The enemy is strong. He wants you to fail. He will send demons to his bidding. They lay obstacles at our feet with the intentions that we will get tripped up and fall. Not fall as falling to the ground but fall as in fail or give up.

It is wise to be self aware of the enemy’s intentions. Things can run smoothly for awhile, however, be prepared for the enemy to show you it’s cruel and unforgiving face. That’s where our battle begins.

When things run smoothly and go off without a hitch, we tend to be in “a zone.” This zone can last for hours, days, weeks, months or even years. However, it is important to know that the enemy is always lurking in the shadows waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

In business, you will have good and bad days. Individuals who own their own business tend to fail often with many successes along the way. Some weak minded individuals who may own a business and has some sort of setback may decide to pack it in and try something different. That is exactly what the enemy wants you to.

The enemy wants you to quit or close your business. This piece of sh*t (P.O.S.) wants you to “try something else” or move onto another project. Understand that his intention is to pull you so hard to the ground that you will never get up. The enemy wants to lead you with the other cattle to their slaughter.

In these moments of battle know that the Creator cheers you on to push through. This chess match between the enemy and our Creator is won or lost by your ability to keep going. The mental aptitude it takes to receive body shot after body shot and keep going can wear you down. And that is where “faith” comes into play.

The “faith” that I speak of is not the faith in God, but the faith that you are doing something that is worth doing. The “faith” to not give up and get through the mud. When you push through something that seems insurmountable at the time and you come through still standing on your own two feet, you win the battle.

If you can win enough battles and withstand retaliation from the enemy, His control over you becomes less and less with time. These are moments of joy and happiness. The one thing that I have learned in my years in sales and owning my company is that the enemy will always return.

When the P.O.S. returns, look it in the eye and attack. Don’t let up. You think it’s down and out, attack again. Attack by working on yourself. Callous your mind. Your mind can be a fortress if you train it to be. In order to get to that point, you will be tested over and over.

This is something that needs to be heard by anyone who may want to open a business or is dealing with a difficult person. Be self aware and assess any issues. If you happen along the path of the enemy, punch it in the nose and keep going.

Remember, you only fail if you quit. So keep going and never give up
