Hey Dummy, Your Routine Matters….


Years ago, my morning was probably typical to the rest of the human world. My alarm would go off and I would drag myself to the bathroom. After toilet duties, I’d turn on the shower and brush my teeth. When the mirror began to fog up I knew the water was hot enough to enter. After my shower, I’d dress and pour my first cup of coffee, then off to work. I’d work a shitty job, only to come home eat dinner, have a “few” drinks then off to bed. Only to do it again the next day.


What a shitty life?!?! Consistent daily routine kept me in the “rat race”. I knew that my life was typical of everyone else and that seemed to be okay for that time in my life. Well, until I got tired of my own shit. One of the first things that I started to do more of was reading. Specifically, I read book that dealt in self improvement. That seemed to motivate me some to start a new morning routine.


My current morning routine is:

  • Wake at 0345 am (I am typically in bed at 2100)

  • Walk/workout for 45 minutes

  • Drink 32 oz of water during walk/workout to replace what I lost while I slept

  • Meditate for 30 minutes

  • Make coffee

  • Read until 0615

  • Shower

  • Office at 0645

  • Admin conference call until 0715

  • Cardone Sales Training

  • Start home school at 0800

Starting my day like this has helped me achieve success. However, I need more out of my routine and I will be adding and removing a couple of things.


Add:

  • Cardio - this could be a couple of things. Jump rope, running or hitting the heavy bag. Something to get the heart rate up

  • Weight training - currently, I have tension bands, 20lb kettle bells and 5lb dumbbells

  • Changing a regular shower to a cold shower

  • Need to add time in for my wife…..


Potential routine timeline

0345 - 0400 Wake up

0400 - 0445 Cardio/Weight Training

0445 - 0530 Cool down and meditate

0530 - 0645 Read and Spend time with my wife

0645 - 0700 Shower

0700 - 0800 Coffee/Call w/admin and sales training

0800 - 0815 Start Home School

0815 - 1100 Work in Home Office (drink 64 oz water)

1100 - 1230 Family Walk/Lunch/Rest (meditate)

1230 - 1700 Work in Home Office (drink 64 oz water)

1700 - 2100 Dinner/Family Time/Read

2100 Bed
